As reported in Albuquerque Journal
As representatives of small, rural communities here in southern New Mexico, we feel the need to speak out and encourage our senators in Washington to closely review the Lower Health Care Costs Act to ensure emergency air ambulance services are continued for rural America.
Our U.S. senators must take great care in making certain this legislation is not going to hurt people – especially those in rural areas. In short, this legislation should pose no threat to air ambulances and must allow insurers to provide sufficient coverage for patients who need these life-saving services.
If such assurances or amendments to this legislation are not possible to save air ambulances, then our senators should strongly consider voting against the Lower Health Care Costs Act.
