BEATTYVILLE, Ky. — EMS crews received an unusual walk-in patient Monday afternoon.
LEX18.com reported that a deer with an injured leg walked into the Lee County EMS office.
The department posted a photo of the incident on Facebook, saying they had a “walk-in patient this afternoon.”
EMS director Jon Allen said the deer got in through a door that had been left open by someone who was cleaning, according to the report.
“Patient left against medical advice and was last seen headed east on the railroad tracks,” the Facebook post said.
Allen said the deer was removed from the building unharmed.
