EMT and DEA Agent Injured in Ambulance Crash

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. – A DEA agent and an [EMT] were rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon after a head-on crash, Clayton County EMS officials confirmed.

It happened along Tara Blvd. near Main Street around 1:30 p.m. Clayton County police said the crash involved an SUV and an ambulance. The SUV and ambulance appeared to been involved in a head-on crash.

The ambulance was not on an emergency run at the time of the crash and was not transporting a patient.

The DEA agent was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Critical Condition. The EMT was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in stable condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The names the DEA agent and EMT have not been released.
