The Flight for Life helicopter pilot killed in a Friday afternoon crash has been identified as 64-year-old Patrick Mahany.
Mr. Mahany was a decorated U.S. Army Helicopter Pilot in Vietnam and had flown 27 years for Flight for Life.
Air Methods, the contractor that operates the helicopter, also reported the flight paramedic and flight nurse aboard the aircraft were injured. No patients were aboard.
Flight Safety Network’s heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire Flight for Life of Colorado team, and all the family and friends Mr. Mahany leaves behind.
