FDNY Ambulance Hits 10-Year Old Boy

NEW YORK — A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured after being struck by an FDNY ambulance while riding his bicycle in East Harlem.

NBC 4 reported that the boy was riding his bike with his parents when he was struck by the ambulance.

Witnesses at the scene told police the ambulance did not have its lights or sirens on, and was making a slow turn, but still ran over the boy.

The boy was taken to Cornell Medical Center in serious condition.
