A Vanderbilt LifeFlight crew member has died and two others were critically injured in a helicopter crash in Wilson County.
LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – Update: One person has died and two others are in critical condition after a LifeFlight helicopter crashed in Wilson County on Saturday afternoon, according to officials at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Vanderbilt confirmed that three crew members were on board the helicopter at the time of the crash. No patients were on board.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is deeply saddened to confirm that a Vanderbilt LifeFlight helicopter was involved in an accident this afternoon in Wilson County. Three crew members were on board. Tragically, one crew member lost their life, and two others are in critical condition and receiving care at Vanderbilt University Hospital. No patients were on board at the time of the incident.
