DALLAS — A paramedic was transported to the hospital after a vehicle crashed into an ambulance and fled the scene.
NBC DFW reported that the Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance was transporting a patient to the hospital when it was hit on the highway.
The patient did not suffer further injuries, but officials said one of two paramedics was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
A police helicopter was dispatched to search for the suspected driver, who was seen heading toward the merger to northbound Interstate 45.
The SUV was found with heavy front end damage and the airbags deployed. Two people who were in the car were later located by police and arrested.
