Flight for Life of Colorado Crash July 3, 2015

The Flight for Life helicopter pilot killed in a Friday afternoon crash has been identified as 64-year-old Patrick Mahany.

Mr. Mahany was a decorated U.S. Army Helicopter Pilot in Vietnam and had flown 27 years for Flight for Life.

Air Methods, the contractor that operates the helicopter, also reported the flight paramedic and flight nurse aboard the aircraft were injured. No patients were aboard.
